The exhibits and attractions help introduce people to important persons and times in American history and are fascinating glimpses into the past.

Over the summer of 2017, I helped research and create an exhibit for the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site to be placed in the Valley of the Caddo Museum & Cultural Center Inc., in Paris, Texas. I was very excited to see how it turned out, as it was my first attempt at making an exhibit, and it is the first time the Maxey House was invited to showcase its artifacts in the Caddos Museum. It was up from September to November, as was the online exhibit that I created to be posted daily on the Maxey's Facebook page.
During my time as the Assistant Director of the Sherman Museum, I was in charge of the summer Dino Days Dino Academy. I had to design a lesson for ages 4-12 for an all day summer camp. This was one of my many tasks at the museum, but one that let me get involved with the community and educate local kids. There were also several events that we took part in at the Museum, like Dia de Los Muertos, to better foster diversity and cultural understanding within the community, as well as fun events, like the Christmas Parade and Santa at the Museum, to bring more awareness to the community that the Museum existed.
History never looks like history when you are living through it.
